The Official Grand National Office Sweepstake Kit

The 171st Grand National takes place from Thursday 12 April-Sunday 14 April 2018 at Aintree Racecourse near Liverpool.

It is the most popular horse race of the calendar year, with several punters making their one and only bet of the year.

Many colleagues like to run an office sweepstake, often putting chocolate and sweets or the tea round on the line. An example office bet slip is as follows:

Blaklion has been made the early favourite by the bookmakers with Betfair’s Grand National 2018 betting odds making Nigel Twiston-Davies’ horse the 10/1 favourite.

Twiston-Davies will be looking to win his third Grand National as a trainer following Earth Summit in 1998 and Bindaree in 2002.

Closely following the favourite with the bookmakers are Minella Rocco at 14/1, The Last Samurai at 16/1, Definitely Red at 16/1 and Total Recall at 16/1.

A full list of the current entrants and their prices can be seen in this graphic produced by Betfair below:

Most sweepstakes require a drawing of the names meaning it’s pot luck which horse you get, but let’s be honest, the favourite doesn’t always win in this event anyway. Have fun with your office sweepstake!
