Sunblazer will be aimed at the All-Weather Marathon Championships Conditions Stakes at Lingfield on Good Friday after the in-form grey claimed a nice prize at Wolverhampton.

A 6/1 chance for the 32Red.com Handicap, Willy Twiston-Davies' partner gained a clear lead two furlongs out and was good value for his length-and-a-quarter defeat of the unlucky-in-running Haines.

Sunblazer has now won three of his last four races but will now face an even stiffer examination on March 25.

Trainer Kim Bailey said: "We are delighted with that. It's a nice prize to win and he's shown extraordinary improvement.

"We'll go to Lingfield on Good Friday now. We have to go there as it's worth such a lot of money for even finishing in the first three.

"He's a lovely horse to have and we are very happy with him."

The other big race on the card, the Ladbrokes Conditions Stakes, was won in some style by Mindurownbusiness.
