Sandra Hughes hopes to run Acapella Bourgeois at Punchestown if the ground is suitable.

The Ten Up Novice Chase winner tried to match strides with Might Bite in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham last week only to weaken rapidly.

Hughes believes her charge was overcome by the occasion, but she still harbours hopes of running again this season.

"He's home safe and sound which is all I can ask for," she told At The Races.

"The whole occasion got to him. He got very worked up, it was a messy start and he stood no chance.

"He's home in one piece, at least.

"It's ground dependent if he runs again, but Punchestown does at least give us enough time.

"With him getting so worked up, we've now enough time to get him back and hopefully it keeps raining."
