Neil King will meet with the owners of Lil Rockerfeller over the weekend, with a trip to Punchestown currently the favoured option for the Stayers' Hurdle runner-up.

The six-year-old posted a career-best effort when beaten three-quarters of a length by Nichols Canyon at Cheltenham earlier this month and the World Series Hurdle at Punchestown on April 27 is the plan at this stage.

However, King will discuss the options at Aintree with Lil Rockerfeller's owners on Sunday before fully committing to a future target.

The Wiltshire handler said: "He's come out of Cheltenham extremely well and he really is in good form with himself.

"Plan A is Punchestown. Aintree has not been on the radar but it was half-mentioned recently, so I'm meeting with the owners on Sunday to firm up plans.

"There were no excuses at Cheltenham. Trevor (Whelan) gave him a great ride and I don't think he's ever travelled better in a race. Willie Mullins just had the better horse on the day.

"You'd always have to worry about a horse like Nichols Canyon, but we certainly wouldn't be afraid of running against him again as we were only beaten three-quarters of a length."
