Connections of So Mi Dar are in no rush to commit to future targets after she was ruled out of an appearance at Royal Ascot next week.

John Gosden's exciting filly won her first four starts, but has been off the track since finishing a close third in the Prix de l'Opera at Chantilly last October.

The four-year-old missed her intended comeback in last month's Middleton Stakes at York due to the rain-softened ground and sidestepped the Brigadier Gerard at Sandown the following week due to a muscle enzyme problem.

Next week's Prince of Wales's Stakes was pencilled in as her next objective, but she is not yet in peak condition.

Simon Marsh, racing manager for owner-breeders Lord and Lady Lloyd-Webber, said: "She's fine in herself, but she had the muscle enzyme problem and it is just taking a little bit of time for her to get it completely out of her system.

"There is nothing wrong with her physically, but she's missed a few bits of work and won't be ready for Ascot, unfortunately.

"It's incredibly frustrating, but she has no leg problems or broken bones or anything like that.

"She will be back, it's just a question of when.

"Having targeted the Prince of Wales, I don't think we'll be making any definite plans at this stage."
