Champion conditional jockey Rachael Blackmore expressed pride at having lost her claim when she rode Sweet Home Chicago to victory at Wexford on Wednesday evening.

Blackmore brought her career tally to 60 winners with a typically composed ride aboard the Colin Bowe-trained 4-1 shot, who won a three-mile maiden hurdle by 16 lengths.

The jockey said: "It's a major milestone and I'm delighted to achieve it.

"I had my first winner in February of 2011 on Stowaway Pearl. I'd like to thank Shark (Hanlon, trainer), my agent Gary Cribbin and all the trainers who have supported me."

The County Tipperary native was the first female to secure the champion conditional riders' title with 32 wins last season.

Hanlon has been one of Blackmore's biggest supporters and said: "It's great to see Rachael ride out her claim. She is a very good rider and she does everything right.

"I gave her her first ride ever on the track and point-to-pointing. She is after coming a long way, she is hard worker and deserves all the luck she gets.

"I had no jockey for a race in Thurles one day and Davy Russell recommended her to me, and since that day she has been with me."

Blackmore left Wexford with a double when the Hanlon-trained Camlann (9-2) defied top weight in a two-mile handicap hurdle.

The trainer added: "I remember talking to her at the beginning of her career and she said to me, 'I don't think I'll ever ride out my claim, you needn't worry'.

"It's great to see Rachael ride a winner for me on the same evening."
