Threading is likely to bid for Group One honours in the Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket on September 30 following her victory in the Lowther Stakes at York on Thursday.

The daughter of Exceed And Excel justified the £15,000 supplementary fee for the six-furlong Group Two by coming out on top by a length and three-quarters over Madeline.

Trainer Mark Johnston reported Threading to have taken her exertions on the Knavesmire in her stride and the likelihood is that Newmarket will be her next port of call.
