Eyes on the skies at Hexham

Hexham officials remain on weather watch ahead of its jumps fixture on Tuesday.

Despite having passed an 8am inspection on Monday morning, the Northumberland circuit is heavy as the track has sustained "in excess" of 111 millimetres of rain since Good Friday.

A statement issued by Hexham read: "It has remained dry over the last 48 hours and racing goes ahead.

"Any further rain is unwanted and will result in another inspection."

Nottingham take precautions

Nottingham has announced a 9am precautionary inspection on Tuesday ahead of its Flat fixture on Wednesday.

Two millimetres of further rain has left the ground heavy at Colwick Park, and more showers are forecast.

The meeting is due to feature the Listed Further Flight Stakes over a mile and three-quarters.
