I love the Derby - I love all the big races - but there is no meeting in the world like Royal Ascot.

To me it is everything - the Olympics of horseracing - and it is my place.

Ascot in general has been very kind to me over the years - never more so than with the Magnificent Seven in September 1996 - but there is something very special about the atmosphere at the Royal meeting.

Largely through my association with Sheikh Mohammed and Godolphin, I've enjoyed 44 Royal Ascot winners - I'm still a way short of Lester Piggott's 116, but there is only one Lester, so I'm not doing too bad!

Sadly, the 10-day ban I got for dropping my hands on Blue Bunting in the Oaks means I'll miss the last two days of Royal Ascot 2011, and I'm devastated.

I did the crime, so I have to do the time, but it's the first time in 24 years as a jockey it has happened to me.

I haven't got a Frankel or a So You Think or a Goldikova, but I've got a few chances.

The one I would steer you in the direction of is SAJJHAA (below) in Wednesday's Windsor Forest Stakes. This filly finished second to Midday in the Middleton Stakes at York last month, she is stronger now she is a four-year-old, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you what Midday has achieved in her career.

Another who could be interesting is RUMH, who goes for the Ribblesdale next Thursday after winning the Listed race at Newbury last Thursday.

The track will suit Rumh because she hangs to her right, and she's worth the step up in class.

My best ride of the meeting would have been DELEGATOR for Saeed Bin Suroor in the Golden Jubilee Stakes on Saturday.

He really impressed me when he won the Duke of York Stakes last month, and he deserves to win a Group 1. But I'll be banned by then, so he will be ridden by Mickael Barzalona.
